The Concept2 BikeErg is the latest addition to our family of sport-based ergometers. The BikeErg has the same flywheel and Performance Monitor as our Concept2 Indoor Rowers and SkiErgs, bringing to cycling the strengths and features we've previously brought to rowing and cross-country skiing.

The flywheel uses air resistance to create a smooth, quiet ride that responds to your efforts. The damper is your "gearing," allowing you to adjust the feel of your ride. Unlike most stationary indoor bikes, the BikeErg has a clutch, so just like a real bike, when you stop pedaling, the flywheel keeps on spinning.

The sophisticated Performance Monitor gives you instantaneous workout feedback, with a wide variety of displays and workouts to choose from. The Performance Monitor is calibrated so you'll be able to directly compare your times and distances with other people, as well as track your progress.

The BikeErg will be shipped with the following items:

  • PM5 Monitor
  • Product Manual with Performance Monitor Quick Start Guide
  • Tools and instructions for assembly

The Concept2 BikeErg is backed by a limited 2-year and 5-year warranty. Find out more >

  1. Solid Indoor Bike Perfect for Zwift 5 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Sep 2019

I've previously owned the Concept 2 Rower which is one of the best on the market, so when I was looking for a indoor bike I was happy to see the new BikeErg.

I ordered from the Concept2 shop which was very smooth and I received the bike the next day! It was very well packaged. It took around 30 minutes to put together and was very straightforward. Its cool it comes with the branded screwdriver.

A lot of people are getting into indoor biking because of the Zwift app. After a lot of research, I can say that this Bike is probably the best way of using Zwift without going the Smart-trainer route, which is messy.

It pairs with Zwift really easily with both Cadence and Power working very quickly. I use a Wahoo Tickr HRM - I use ANT+ with the PM5 and Bluetooth with Zwift at the same time.

I've put in about 10 hours a week since I got it. Zwift and Strava are big motivators to keep going. Biking in front of the 50" TV with Zwift is also pretty cool.

  2. By far the best concept product!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Aug 2019

Bought the bikers recently and can't get off it. Easy to setup, easy to connect to devices and a realistic feeling whilst pedalling. The quick and easy adjustment makes it even better as my partner can change it within seconds and use it as well. Cant recommend this product enough honestly.

  3. Another great Concept2 product 5 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Oct 2018

Having used a Concept2 rower at a previous gym I had bought myself a Model E that I love, however some ongoing injury issues meant that I wasn't using it as much as I would like and was looking for an exercise bike alternative to try and get me back into shape so I can get back on the rower!

There are many options out there for bikes but from my experience with my rower I immediately considered the BikeErg although to be honest I had little experience with air (resistance) bikes in any form. In the end I decided that with my familiarity with how the rower operates (and how good a workout it gives) that the BikeErg was worth a go.

I was a little nervous buying without trying however I need not have worried. Assembly was quite straightforward and I was giving it a test ride within an hour of receiving it.

Similar to the rower the damper and your effort determines the resistance you face which allows for different sorts of riding from HIIT, longer intervals to steady state long sessions. I have been riding on a program that gives me a variety of sessions but the common theme is every single one has me working up a great sweat in no time. In the month I've had my BikeErg I've improved my pace and my endurance is growing every week.

I was nervous that I would get bored of sitting on a bike for hours every week but I've put on a combination of movies or music or podcasts each session and found myself looking forward to my time on the bike every day.

I'm feeling stronger than I have in a while and I'm not far off being able to get back on the rower except now I know I'll definitely be switching it up between the rower and the BikeErg as I can see using them together as a great way of managing my health and fitness (and injuries) going forward.

The BikeErg is quite pricey, although for me, so far it has definitely been money well spent and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something that will help them get up a sweat and challenge themselves.

  4. Solid performer Bikerg 5 Star Review

Having used the model d for years and looking for a bit of variety I started up on the bikerg 2 weeks ago - a great product and i'm using it almost daily - easy to use and comfortable to be on - very pleased with it!

  5. More Concept2 quality 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Jul 2018

I already have a model D rowing erg but after a lifetime of heavy lifting, I am over 70 years old, a rapidly collapsing spine limits my ability to use it as I would like.
The bike erg is made to the usual high Concept 2 standard, was delivered in a timely manner and will hopefully enable me to maintain fitness into the future..
